Built for a different kind of problem.
Roda Global was founded on the conviction that the most consequential transformations happen where commerce meets governance — and that navigating this intersection requires a fundamentally different kind of advisory firm.
The genesis of institutional strategy.
Roda Global was established in 2018 in Kuala Lumpur by a group of former senior government officials, institutional investors, and strategy consultants who recognized a fundamental gap in the advisory landscape.
Traditional strategy firms understood commerce but not governance. Government affairs consultancies understood politics but not strategy. Neither could operate effectively at the intersection where the most consequential decisions are made.
We built Roda Global to fill this gap — assembling teams that combine the analytical rigor of top-tier strategy consultancies with the institutional knowledge that only comes from having shaped policy at the highest levels.
"The most difficult problems in the global economy are not purely commercial or purely political — they exist at the interface. That is where we operate."

Principles that shape every engagement.
Institutional Realism
We ground every strategy in a realistic assessment of how institutions actually function — not how they are supposed to function. This means understanding the informal networks, decision-making patterns, and political dynamics that determine outcomes.
Analytical Integrity
Our recommendations are evidence-based and data-driven. We do not tell clients what they want to hear — we provide the unvarnished assessment required for sound decision-making. Intellectual honesty is non-negotiable.
Outcome Accountability
We define success by measurable outcomes, not deliverables. Our engagement models are designed around accountability — we embed teams, track KPIs, and remain engaged until the transformation is institutionalized.
The caliber of our people defines the quality of our counsel.
